Questo Blog non racconta di viaggi e avventure particolari in terre lontane.
Perchè non è per viaggiare che mi trovo in Australia, ma per viverci. O al limite, questa è l'intenzione, la speranza.
Lo scopo di questo blog è invece quello di tentare di rispondere alla madre di tutte le domande che ricevo continuamente da parenti e amici: "Com'è l'Australia?"
Come si fa a rispondere ad una domanda simile? Ed anche scrivendo un romanzo in merito, come potrei riscriverlo ogni volta che mi viene posta questa domanda cammuffata da mille altre? (cioè ogni due giorni).
Ecco allora che la mia risposta sono i post di questo blog. Nessuna verità assoluta ma semplicemente il mio sguardo, non troppo serio, a ciò che vedo intorno a me.
Per quanto riguarda il Kookaburra del titolo, si tratta di un simpatico pennuto, di media grandezza, tipico dell'Australia, che quando "canta" sembra essere una scimmia urlatrice. Il suo verso mi fa morire. E' troppo forte. Purtroppo si fa sentire pochissimo, e da quando son qua non sono riuscito ancora ad immortalarlo!

Because it’s not for traveling that I’m here in Australia, but I’m here to live, or at least, this is our purpose.
So I will just try to answer the question I recieve every moment from relatives and friends in Europe: "How is Australia?". What a question! I should write a book everytime! No way.
My answer is the posts that follow. Some -not too serious- topics to depict what I see around me.
About the Kookaburra.. well.. he's a very nice ozy bird, but what I like the most about him, is that when he sings, he actually shouts like a monkey. It’s unbelievable. The problem is that it’s not easy to find him and listen to him, ‘cause he doesn’t sing that often. And when he does, by the time you take your camera it’s too late.
I haven’t been able to record him, yet!
